Recipes to Prepare Fast Foods at Home

No matter how unhealthy the fast foods are but our tongue always crave for that scrumptious taste of cheese burger, spicy noodles, white sauce pasta or grilled sandwiches for that matter every now and then. How about if you get to eat healthy fast food at the comfort of your home only? Well, we see some sparkled eyes desperately wanting to know about how to cook these yummy foods! So, today we are sharingwithyou some recipes of your favouritefast foods as told by expert cooks from reputed eateries such as McDonald’s, Spago Fusion and Pizza Hut.

  • Barbecued Burger

Ingredients– ketchup, brown sugar, honey, molasses, prepared mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, liquid smoke, pepper, lightly beaten egg, quick-cooking oats, onion salt, garlic salt, ground beef, hamburger buns and toppings of your choice.

Directions– In a small saucepan, combine the first 10 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat. Then, in a large bowl, combine the egg, oats, barbecue sauce, onion salt, garlic salt, pepper and salt. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Grill over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°, basting with barbecue sauce during the last 5 minutes. Serve on buns with toppings of your choice.

  • Zesty Grilled Sandwiches

Ingredients– slices of sourdough bread, slices of deli ham, provolone cheese, deli coleslaw, shredded cheddar cheese, olive oil.

Directions– On four slices of bread, layer the ham, provolone cheese, coleslaw and cheddar cheese. Top with remaining bread slices. Spread oil on outsides of sandwiches.On a griddle, toast sandwiches until bread is lightly browned on both sides.

  • Cheese Pizza

Ingredients– melted butter, garlic powder, pita breads (6 inches), shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, dried basil, diced tomato, grated Parmesan cheeseand pizza sauce.

Directions – In a small bowl, combine butter and garlic powder; brush over pitas. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, basil and tomato. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.Bake at 400° for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve with pizza sauce if desired.
